Does anyone know any Irish literature publications that publish poetry and short stories?

Asked by Scott_Leonard (15points) September 18th, 2011

Help a young artist out. I’m trying to find various channels to get my work out to people and have it criticised in a constructive manner in order to help me as a writer. If people happen to like what I write then so be it.

Is Ireland’s Own publication too folksy for your intent?

@smilingheart1 No, I live in Waterford which is a small enough town and I have no idea what’s going on with Literature here at the moment. Not many people here write as you can imagine. Do you have any more info about Ireland’s Own by the way?

@smilingheart1 Actually I know what you’re on about. It seems pretty folksy. A lot of my writing is dark to say the least.

@Scott_Leonard Go to the Poetry Ireland site and sign up for their newsletter. They’ve got a competition/submission section where you can view a range of publications. Also, it’s worth checking out Fish Poetry.
