Where can I find academic information about black superheroes?

Asked by studented (20points) September 20th, 2011

For an upcoming paper, I want to write about the portrayal of black people in comic books. Are there any books or better yet black comic book writers who want to give some information?

I would check your library’s databases for journal articles on this topic. It’s quite likely that you will find some good material.

I’m a black superhero.
My name is Black Guy.
I just think it would be funny, since I’m a little white girl. “Who are you?” Deep voice “I’m Black Guy.”

@Raven_Rising That’s pretty awesome that there’s a whole museum dedicated to this.

@studented What’s your thesis for it?

Also, talk to the research librarian at your school.

@Nimis No thesis yet. It is just something I want to write about and it interests me.

I don’t know? But the three of them that I know of are Storm, The Black Panther and the green lantern. Hope that helps?
