Today we re-did our front walkway because my handicap sister parks her scooter out there and she needed paving stones so she won’t turn the front lawn into a mud pit. That was a lot of work. My hubby and I then went for a nice walk. The rest of the day has been easy going.

Going through my all of my husbands clothes, downsizing getting rid of what he no longer needs, wants or can wear. When he was done with the trying on and deciding, which I had to stay right there and help with, and took 6 hours, then I had to decide how to dispose of them, bag them up, (6 large trash bags) to go to various charity or recycle places. Another 3 hours later, I just got them loaded in my vehicle ready to be gone from this place forever.
Then shower, fluther and bed.

My Starurdays are usually really boring.
My day today: Wake up. Play Gears Of War 3 and then tetris and listen to music, take a nap. More tetris. Very uneventful day.

After dinner (I invented a rib dish), we watched a movie on the telly with all four of us. I did a little texting and email, too, and now I’m fluthering.

Now we’re watching Firefly but I’m thinking of heading off for bed.

Saturday night is usually either, stay home have dinner and snuggle on the lounge together watching TV OR go out for dinner and to a movie.

My daughter and I went out for some dinner and then saw Moneyball. If it was a Saturday when my kids would be at their mom’s, my girlfriend and I would probably go see a movie.

Well, here’s how today went.

Woke up. Went back to sleep.

Woke up. Had coffee. Checked out my net shit for a bit. (Funimation edits the next activity out)
Took a shower. Did my hair. Fixed some food. Ate it while reading a magazine. Went to take a crap.

Washed the dishes, cleaned the apartment. Only took two hours. Roomie dried the dishes. That is all.

Fixed my hair again. Went grocery shopping. This included beer and smokes, but actual food, too. Saturday is always my clean up and get shit done day. I don’t fuck around, man. My laundry has also been done. Actually it’s still getting done…should prolly go check on that bitch.

Got back. Stored stuff away.
Started playing Alice the Madness Returns. Peppered all flying pig snouts in one chapter, got a trophy for dat shit. I played for like six hours. IT’S OVER 9000!!!

Then I watched The Strepford Wives. Dude, what the hell was that? Lol.

Also, drinking.

And here I am!

Most of my Saturdays look like this, unless someone dies.
And all of my days would be like this, if I didn’t have to work or study a buncha dead people.

Usually Saturday night is when my boyfriend and I spend quality time together. We have a long distance relationship so we try and make sure that we dedicate one night a week (usually Saturday) to each other.

Brian1946's avatar

For us that varies from Saturday to Saturday.

Tonight we ate at a Thai restaurant, listened to some Eric Clapton, and then picked up my wife’s cat.

This varies a lot for me depending where/when I am.

For instance, in high school my Saturday nights were very rarely what most people would call exciting, the most I would do was to hang out with a couple close friends. More often I’d be on my own and I’d spend the evening drawing or writing or doing some other creative hobby. Or internet surfing if I didn’t have enough creative energy. This was a-okay with me.

During my short few weeks at college I was out on Saturday nights, at campus events trying to meet people, or just hanging out with the friends I had already met. I had a group of friends that were fairly low-key (for college students) like me, so we weren’t being wild, we’d usually just play video games or watch a movie. That was great.

These days I’m at home and there’s no one my age around, so my Saturday nights are pretty quiet, spent with the family, with whom I am – luckily – very close. We rarely do anything special but it’s okay.

When I go back to college in January I’m probably going to do some long-awaited partying. :D

Homework, reading, internet, bother the cats, new episode of Doctor Who (assuming it’s during the season), post-DW texting/complaining on the internet

a thrilling life
