Why is it that whenever I look at FB now, I get these pop-ups of other people's news feeds?

Asked by jca (36062points) September 28th, 2011

Ever since the most recent, terribly annoying Facebook update, whenever I look at my Facebook news feed, I get these pop-ups of my friends’ most recent news. I can’t figure out how to close the pop-ups or get them off, and the result is that I end up trying to read the rest of the news feed below or around the pop-ups.

Help! I can’t stand it and if I could write to FB and tell them they’re idiots for the recent changes, I would except I don’t know how to contact them.

The only way I get pop-ups is if I put my cursor over the news ticker in the upper right part of the FB screen. Is your cursor hovering over that area? Check that it’s not. When the cursor is over any other part, I don’t get pop-ups.

You must be LUCKY, I don’t get that. No pop-ups.

Did you not receive an email from FB stating a change was coming? This may be what you are talking about.

@john65pennington: I knew the change was coming, I just want to get rid of the pop ups.
