If I wanted to write a children's story book for the iPad what easy-to-use program would you recommend?

What books about writing and grammar would you also recommend? How about illustration, any company that can take care of that at a very low cost? Any input is greatly appreciated.

The easiest way to do this is HTML and CSS. It is what the internet uses. Once you get your book looking good as a webpage then it is easy to plunk it into a wrapper in xCode and make it a app that you can sell.

HTML, CSS, and Javascript are a hell of a lot easier than Objective C.
