What could I make with these supplies?

Asked by XOIIO (18328points) October 14th, 2011

Well, I’m broke, and got no goodies to snack on, so I was wondering if you guys can help me think of something I can make with this stuff.

Brown Sugar
Pecan Peices
Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
Peanut butter
Whole grain oats
Pancake mix
Crackers/Melba Toast
Various frozen berries/fruits
Cream cheese

So, Whats something quick that I cold make more on the naughty side. I can’t think of a damn thing.

Use your imagination. I am sure you can come up with something good with those berries. Melt the chocolate chips, add a splash of oil, dip berries and put on wax paper. C’mon dude, surely you can do something. Let us know later what you did, how and what happened :)

@spykenij Well I’m looking into the 5 minute microwave cakes, but I don’t think we have cocao powder. I have a hotplate I could maybe melt the chocolate on, and I think there was mango in the mixed fruit, I’m not %100 percent sure though.

There has to be some way you can make really puffy cookies with all that.

ROFLMAO @ “And also some potassium Nitrate.” I could do special things with that but you wouldn’t want to eat them. LOL

Try this… *If of course you have eggs & milk for the pancake mix?

Make the pancakes… Put them into a greased baking dish, assemble it like a lasagna in layers *if you’re going to use the oats cook them first…A Peanut butter layer, pancake layer a berry layer, pancake layer A chocolate chip layer, pancake layer a nut layer, Etc…

Take the melba toast and smoosh it up in a bag, add the brown sugar, some cinnamon if you have it? melt some butter and mix the topping together and make a crumb topping like for an apple pie, sprinkle that on top with a few more nuts mixed in as well.

Bake it in the oven for a few minutes to melt everything together let it cool, slice into portions and enjoy…

I have no idea how it will taste? I have never even thought to do anything like that before and I just made it up now so let me know how it goes? It might suck, and it might be delicious if not completely fattening and artery clogging? Not to mention gut busting.

Or… You can go simple and thin out the pancake batter really thin, more egg and liquid than actual mix product, and make crepes. Melt the cream cheese and use it as a sauce or a filling mixed with the berries… You could make crepes for days with that.

THere is an Italian dessert called Sfoliatelli that I love that all of that reminds me of. If you only had some philo dough… Harumph!

Alright, I had an idea, I’m currently melting down a bunch of semi-sweet chocolate in the microwave in a bowl coated with olive oil, and cooling the nuked mangos in the fridge, then I’ll stick a few on a skewer, lay it down on the wax paper, drizzle the chocolate over then, and put them in th freezer a bit for it to harden, and see wha that leaves me with.

It will leave you with chocolate dipped mango.

Looks to me like you have all the ingredients you need to make a Weapon of Mass Destruction.

You just need to mix all those is precisely the correct proportions.

XOIIO's avatar

@HungryGuy I triedmicrowaving my potassium nitrate/ sugar mix because it wasnt quite dry… it definitely dried it out XD

Well I obviously don’t know a thing about melting chocolate, because it got to 133 degrees celcius and cooked a little bit, i kinda saved it, I have it cooling off now.

@GabrielsLamb – Ooh…crepes! I’m off to your house. :)

XOIIO's avatar

ehh, didn’t really work out, whenever yu move a skewer the chocolate rips off, and doesnt go sow ell with these mangos, so its more mango with chocolate on the side, but the mangos are good. Still trying to find cocao powder, I think the pancake mix is the crappy one that tastes bad.

2.5 c of the pancake mix, 2 c sugar, 1 stick o butter, 2 eggs, 1.5 c the pb, 2 c oats, the whole bag of chips, the whole bag of nuts chopped and you will have batter for a PB peacan oatmeal chocolate chip cookie yup yessir

@XOIIO – Were you standing behind your tinfoil shield? After all, nobody likes roasted nuts…

XOIIO's avatar

@HungryGuy No, I was running out the door with a flaming smoky plate yelling ”ohshitohshitohshit” as the neighbour watched in onfusion.
