Zip/Rar/Jar browsers for mac?

One thing that annoys me about mac is the way zip’s and other such compressed files have to be extracted to a folder and then re compressed to edit them. Are there any zip browsers similar to WinZip and 7Zip for windows available for mac?

Once it lists the files in the archive select the file and hit “View” and it will open in whatever app is assigned for that filetype. From there it is pretty straightforward.
