Is there a free EASY solution for removing duplicates in itunes?

It seems that every 6 months or so I end up having to go back and delete a bunch of duplicate mp3’s from my library. Any suggestions for a free solution? (osx please)

yeah, use the view menu to show duplicates, and click away, oh, and when you put in new songs, don’t put in the m3u list, cheers

Try http://dougscripts.com/itunes/

there’s loads of great stuff in there and theres an applescript to remove duplicates.

If you’re in Windows… go to File > Show Duplicates and then delete away. Otherwise View > Show Duplicates…
