Where do typical psychology students work while saving for ones education and room and board in Canada?

Lets say before the students get a basic degree and way before a licence to practice psychology. Where do the students get work and experience that leads to one day becoming a psychologist. Student loans and borrowing money from parents are not an option. Also not just limited to summer work, but to year round employment. $15,000 is for one years study. Assuming one needs only $1200 a month to live off of and the rest is put into savings for education. Also how long does the typical Psychology student take to save $60,000 for four years of university in Canada?
