What's the name of this early 90's computer game?

Asked by cssboy (8points) May 14th, 2008

It involved tapestries, and guilds. It was an adventure game much like that popular kings of something game, of which i cannot also recall the title. You had to walk around and solve a bunch of puzzles and stuff.

You might be either talking about the King’s Quest series, or perhaps Quest for Glory (originally named Hero’s Quest)?

Kings quest is the second game. There was another one that I can’t remember for the life of me, but it was in the same family of games. Might have even been made by the same people. Very similar, but it had more of a guild feel to it, stone cutters, tapestries, stars, etc.

@cssboy, was it one of the Ultima series by any chance?

Myst??

I’m not a huge gamer but I got caught up in Myst because I liked solving all the puzzles. I’m not sure what you mean by guilds, though, so it’s probably not the game you’re seeking.

There are quite a few kings quests with very different looks to all of them.

What style was the animation in the game??

iwamoto – i mentioned Hero’s Quest above – it’s one of my favorite games ever! I also loved Conquest of Camelot.

Are you thinking of Lucasarts game Loom?

I never played Loom but had a little demo version – I thought it was the coolest!
