What kind of spider is this?

I just moved to Sacramento, and I’ve prob killed about 6–7 of these in the past few weeks. This one was crawling across my bed. Just curious if anyone is able to identify it. I’d like to know what I’m up against.
They’re about 1/2” – 3/4” in diameter.
