It really depends on your height, weight and activity level. There is no blanket answer.

Go by what your body is telling you is right. General guidelines are 2000 to 2500 calories per day. It also depends on how active you are.

I can never tell I either feel like I have went way over or haven’t had enough. I found a calculator online so I can be sure now.

If you don’t know, write down everything you eat and calculate the calories daily in a food diary. After you have a good idea of how much you are eating, you can stop writing it down.

I am 5’1” and I need to eat about 1500 calories to maintain, and 1,000 to lose. It really does vary from person to person.

I’ll do that. I felt a little guilty after inhaling 4 pieces of pizza and 2 pieces of twisty bread yesterday. Thought to myself well I definatley went over today… HAHA Its time to start watching.

Im starting to eat like a dude. Not even funny anymore.

Do remmber the occasional overindulgences don’t matter. It’s when it becomes a consistent pattern of overeating.

Ya I don’t constantly eat like that. Just more lately then usual. Its scaring me a little. I can’t help it, I love food.

Me too. I went to a nutritionist a while ago and she taught me the food diary technique. It will help you if you are honest about writing things down. (That’s how I stay so svelte! :-))

“A little less than you would like to” should be just about right.
