Why didn't Google acknowlege JFK's death day?

Asked by mowens (8403points) November 23rd, 2011

Yesterday was the day JFK got shot. Why was the picture on Google’s home page a turkey 2 full days before Thanksgiving?

I think their Doodles are more about celebrating positive things than negative things.

It is more about honoring lives. The day of JFK’s birth would be more likely for honoring him.

Maybe they just forgot?

That makes sense.

Because that never really happened, it’s just the government man.

It’s been 48 years. I am sure they will do something for the 50th.

I have been imagining the look of it.
You know how they incorporate the image into the name Google?
Picture JFK, hands at his throat, as the captial G.
Jackie is an O.
Connelly’s wife is an O
Connelly clutching his hat is the small G
A passing tree is the L
The driver is the E.

It’s sick and twisted, and probably what you’re looking for.
