How long is the battery life of the Kindle Fire?

I’m pretty sure my hubby is getting me a Kindle for Christmas, but I can’t decide if I want the regular Kindle or the Kindle Fire. My reason for this is: I know the regular Kindle has an extraordinarily long battery life, and I don’t know what kind of battery life the Fire has.

I’m assuming it’s considerably less, since it’s a color tablet instead of just the black and white reader. But it would be really neat to have the Kindle Fire if the battery lasts a decent amount of time. (I have a Pandigital tablet that has absolutely NO battery life, that’s why I’m skeptical of the Fire tablet.)

So… those of you who have already purchased a Kindle Fire, what do you think of the battery life?
