Best entry-level sales jobs?

Asked by sunrunner (120points) November 27th, 2011

I’ve decided not to go to law school. I’m not a recent grad, so I’m wondering what would be the best type of entry-level sales job to try and get to break into sales. Any thoughts?

Can you first tell us what interests you in the sales field? That would help us give you direction.

If you have an under graduate degree, pharmaceutical sales make pretty good money, if you can handle it ethically.

Car sales- a consistent car person can make $100K+ a year with no prior experience, no cash output.

Real Estate agent- you will need to put out a lot of your own money but the returns can be bigger than $100K a year.

I agree with @Neizvestnaya: car sales can be good. If you don’t want to sell the cars you could be a business manager (the people who finance the loans and try to sell you undercoating). My sister was a business manager for years and made well over $100,000 a year. I’m not sure how the bad economy has hit that industry. It could still be hurting.
