Who painted these pictures?

Asked by Seth (302points) November 28th, 2011

At the San Francisco Art Institute’s (SFAI) website, a full-color picture of an art gallery serves as the background. Three nude paintings (or perhaps mixed media, I’m not sure,) can be seen near the top of the photo. Does anybody happen to know the name of the artist behind these paintings? They’re intriguing, and I would like to look up more of the artist’s work.

Thanks for your time! :)

I know this doesn’t directly answer your question but I think your best bet would be to call the school, SFAI, and ask them. It’s very possible that what is pictured is an exhibit of student artwork and therefore might not be instantly recognizable to anyone here. On the other hand, the school does seem to have galleries where the artwork of non-students is displayed. But if no one can give you an answer here, I’m sure the school can.

@lillycoyote Lol. I thought of doing that very thing until I realize it’s already 9 pm over there. So I did another thing…wonder if it will work. : )

Not so sure those are paintings. From the borders, the mounting, they look like digital canvas to me. Possibly a combination of composite digital photography and digital painting printed as giclee.

Maybe not.

The artwork on the right looks to be painting.

@mazingerz88 LOL, “another thing” does sometimes work. We’‘ll see, I guess. :-)

@lillycoyote Yes, indeed, we will see. Oh my, maybe I should do more of this other thing. Lol.
