Sweeney Todd...will it work?

Asked by ToxicLove (179points) November 29th, 2011

I’m having this Victorian dinner for my school and I’m a dinner server. We get to pick our names and backrounds, and I wanted to know if Mrs. Lovett from the movie ” Sweeney Todd ” would work. Do you think the movie was based on something somewhat close to Victorian times?

I would say yes.

It’s definitely based on Victorian times. The year was 1846 to be exact, which puts it firmly in early Victorian era.

I have to say that choosing that name shows a lot of subtlety on your part. It’s an excellent choice.

You might be interested to know that it was a stage musical long before it was a movie. It opened on Broadway in 1979.

I’m not sure I’d want to eat anything you served up though! ;)

Will you be serving meat pies? If you are , I’m not attending the dinner.

I have some candidates for the filling.
