How come every time I start up iChat after shutting it down, even after a computer restart an old chat room shows up?

Asked by whitetigress (3129points) December 3rd, 2011

I can x the chatroom but it still is there if I restart iChat. I’m running iChat on a MacBookPro 10.7.2 iChat Version 6.0.1

Save your sanity.

System Preferences -> General -> Un-check restore Windows when opening and closing

@johnpowell Hello, yes I’ve actually had that un-checked for a while. It’s not the start up I’m concerned with. When I boot up, nothing starts automatically. It’s when I open iChat manually is when that chat appears. Just did it right now too see if I was going crazy.

@johnpowell Yes I unclick that everytime I turn off the MacBook as well.

@johnpowell Figured it out! iChat>File>Go To Chatroom/Command R>Select Room Name>Hit (-) Minus to Remove.

I was beginning to think updating Lion was too drastic a change. Lol
