You're a college student, your holiday break is 2 weeks, what are you going to do?

I’m in college, and my break is in five days. I plan on doing absolutely nothing.. oh, and looking for a job.

And enjoying the fact that no school work is hanging over my head. It’s a beautiful feeling, just go with it.

Also, enjoy having a full refrigerator of food at home, that you did not have to buy. Eat all you can. (Assuming you’re going home for break*)

I used to get a job during my breaks so I could eat when school started back up. I would post an ad on craigslist to clean houses and yards. I made a lot of cash too.

Not. A. Fucking. Thing.

I might travel to somewhere random, but other than that, I really don’t know.

I will be cleaning, packing, baking, working, hitting the gym, shopping, wrapping gifts, traveling and napping every chance I get.

Read. There are too many books on my list of things to read. I’ve somehow recently found myself in the middle of three books. Oy.

In my college days I usually went home to my parents for a chunk of it, and then vegged out at my college home for the rest. I also spent time with a long distance g/f one year.

Road trip. Fill the car with gas and dorm mates. Pick a direction and get as far as we could on half the money we had. Use the other half getting back to school.

I am going to work on a couple of papers for conferences, get some reading out of the way, finally start exercising somewhat regularly, finish working on my anniversary gift, spend money that I should be saving, bake, spend quality time with my families, and sleep. It feels so good to finally be sleeping.

I am not in that position now but my response when I was would have been to play with my kids, to do as little as possible work-wise, to go to the library. If it was mid-semester break I would try to get ahead on assignments. At the end of semester though definitely .. as little as possible and certainly no work.

My winter breaks in college were like a month long. I decided one year to read all of the Hardy Boys books. I only made it through one and a half :(

Sleep a lot, have long soaks in the bath, watch shitloads of TV, and catch up with homework.

I’m done in 3 days. I have 5 weeks off.
I look forward to spending time with my friends who I haven’t seen in 4 or 5 months.
I look forawrd to being home and having time to relax, without worrying about schoolwork.

Sleep, get drunk and play games. Mostly sleep though.
