How can I watch something playing on the BBC on Christmas Day?

Asked by srmorgan (6773points) December 20th, 2011

The BBC (BBC One) will be running a program that I want to see on Christmas Day. I want to watch it when it runs but I am in the US.
Used to be that you could not run the BBC Player unless you were in the UK.

How can I watch it?

You won’t be able to watch it on BBC iPlayer due to rights issues unless you got through a proxy server that makes it look like you are in the UK.

Doctor Who? =]

Try downloading the show off a torrent site (i.e. PirateBay, Isohunt, etc…). I’ve found, a lot of times, the program is already loaded by the time it would be playing here, because of the time difference.
