I just happen to be listening to Nabucco (for the first time ever; I’m not – yet – an opera fan, but I’m getting there).

gailcalled's avatar

^^ Me, too. Listening, that is. I have always loved the more traditional operas.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Nice,do you have a link that we can all listen into to>thanks for the reply@Nabucco

I’ve been listening to Mortiis He might be NSFW, not sure.

Barack Obama singing Al Green . One more chorus of this, and he locks up my vote.

john65pennington's avatar

Squeeky2, its on Youtube. Also, listen to another oldie One Girl Too Late Brenda and The Tabulations. Great song….both. If you like the oldies, I am somewhat of an oldies expert, since being a DJ back in the early 60s. Let me hear from you how you like those two songs.

Also, Its Gonna Take A Miracle Deniece Williams….truly great.

john65pennington's avatar

FilmFann, surely, surely, there is no comparison to
Al Green.

filmfann's avatar

No one compares to Al Green, but PO did all right!

Bad Time- Grand Funk Railroad.

john65pennington's avatar

Ayesha, you listened to the song? I am impressed. Thank you. Its a great song that I had forgotten about, until I ran across it on their Greatest Hits Album. Song makes a lot of sense.

Ayesha's avatar

Yes :) I love the song. Amazing lyrics. Good stuff.

Hain_roo's avatar

PO did good, but this is tops! “Al Green, let’s stay together” : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COiIC3A0ROM

@rebbel, I did something wrong.

Cheer Up Charlie from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Every once in a while this song will get in my head, so I start listening to it and then I can’t stop listening to it over and over again!

Paul McCartney has been singing this for days on end in my head. Frankly I wish he would… go away.

Great song but it is stuck in my head. I have been dreaming it.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

@Bellatrix Great song,thanks for the reply.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

@King_Pariah thanks for the tunes.

I think I made it up. I keep whistling/humming this tune…. but I don’t actually know what it is.

Cage the Elephant – “Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked”

TexasDude's avatar

Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I have my own band’s newest song we just finished stuck in my head. It’s catchy as hell, if I do say so myself. :-)

fundevogel's avatar

@Bellatrix Oh Em Gee. I was listening to The Magical Mystery Tour earlier and that song is the closest I come to hating a Beatles song. It’s very close. It’s just so twee. Oddly enough the fact that they had the gall to do such a flute-trilling bit of nonsense is the one thing that keeps me from actually hating it.

Thankfully the song ended and Blue Jay Way suddenly seemed brilliant.

fundevogel's avatar

Also: my itunes keeps juxtaposing The Wallflowers against black metal. And it works.

SQUEEKY2's avatar

Thanks for all the great songs!

Now it’s just Surfacing – Slipknot I am in a really bad mood now.

Now that I have full internet access, here is a link to where you can hear the song I was talking about in my previous answer. It’s called “Makeover.” Listen with headphones on because I’m really proud of Gibby’s bassline :-)

Auggie, if this is considered inappropriately self promotional, feel free to flagellate me violently with your whip.

rebbel's avatar

@Hain_roo Ditch the spaces in it and it should work.
Try again, you will get the hang of it! even I did :-)

“Supertramp,takethelongwayhome”:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-nvT3_iSaHU

Hain_roo's avatar

@rebbel Ya think? Haha.

Bellatrix's avatar

It took me ages to get some of those things right @Hain_roo. @rebbel is right, you will get there. Perhaps it was the comma? Try Supertramp, Take the long way “home”: then insert the link?

Oh and good song!

SavoirFaire's avatar

@Hain_roo You don’t have to take all the spaces out. Just the ones around the colon. Are you copying and pasting your whole responses from some other document, though? You’ve got smart quotes in your answer, which aren’t the same character as normal quotes and will therefore interfere with the styling code.
