Have you ever had an idea in your head of how someone's voice would sound and then when you do hear it, you are offended by the sound?

Maybe you have chatted with someone for a very long time on facebook, or other chats and have a specific idea of how their voice would sound based on things they say or where they live. Then you finally talk to them and their voice is like nails on a chalkboard. How do you get around this or over it in order to keep talking to them?
