(NSFW) Question about a loss of innocence?

Asked by Jude (32198points) February 9th, 2012

I was molested at a 7. It went so far as to the individual doing his best to penetrate me. I don’t remember him being successful. Perhaps, he did and I blocked it out, I don’t know.

My first sexual encounter with a male partner was at 17. I remember it clearly. The thing is, I don’t remember my hymen breaking then. No blood, nor pain. He was an average size guy (penis size). I am wondering if perhaps my hymen broke when I was younger. Thinking about it makes me awfully sad.

Is it possible that my hymen broke at 7?

I’m not completely sure but I’m gonna go with possibly? I’m sorry you went through that, something similar happened when I was 6. Anyway… (((hugs)))

Maybe? But bleeding isn’t always present the first time. And the hymen? Well, how is that supposed to hang around till your first time when girls are sticking Satan’s cotton fingers up their hoohas?

I don’t think you should read anything into it.

According to Chrystine Oksana’s book Safe Passage to Healing (this was from a quick skim so forgive if it’s unreliable) some childhood survivors’ hymens actually regenerate over a long period of no sex so yeah… The guy may have broken it but your hymen may have healed…

From what I understand it is also possible to break one’s hymen from other things on pure accident without a tremendous amount pain or notice to/by the female in question. So short answer is once again, it’s possible. For certain? Hard to say.

Hymens are not solid and there is not always blood, add to that the fact that most girls damage their hymen doing normal activities such as jumping stretching, running, etc. Also if you used tampons, or anything internal, that would have been enough to disrupt the integrity of the hymen.

If you had reported the assault, when it happened, you would have been examined and you would know for sure. At this point there is no way of knowing for sure.

Thank-you.

I don’t recall breaking mine when I had sex, or at any point. It’s really quite common for girls to break their hymen before they ever have sex from physical activities.

I’m pretty sure all girls break their hymens riding horseback.

It’s an easy thing to break. You might have broken it on a jungle gym or during an awkward fall.

Its also possible it wasn’t broken at all. Some women are even born without one. Some have a really tough one to break. Here’s a good article about Breaking the Myths

if there is no blood when you were seven years old, then, its not broken. It’s just that not all first timers (in sex) will have blood on their bed. this is base on my experience.
