When I get home from work, I sign onto Windows Instant Messenger so that I can chat with my wife, who is usually at my daughters house watching my wifes grandson.
At work, we have a similar program called T Messenger, but I rarely use it.
I do not Skype.

Email. Chat. Text. Video-chat. Web pages. Newsgroups. Blog. Comments. Meeting software.

I meet with work colleagues. I meet with family. We share pictures, documents, and work on things together. We converse. We tell stories.

Really, the only things I don’t do via computer are the things that require being a another person’s presence to do.

Skype, Steam, Ventrilo, Gmail, Google Talk, various forums, various forms of IM. Let’s just go with “tons”.

At work I use chat and email continuously, often in concurrent multple unrelated instances of both.
At home I use email among a few friends.
My wife and I email and txt all day long. I txt with others rarely.
We tried skype recently and may be doing that more with some far-flung family in the near future.
