Why can't we have a generic "ask the mods" button instead of having to pick a specific mod?

Good question. When I’ve seen spam or spammers, I PM Auggie.

I doubt any one will program in a “Mod” button now.

Was there some recent spam?
I only ask because when I logged in just now I had a message alert, but nothing was there.

Doesn’t the “contact” button do that?

@ucme I had spam the usual formula, and an excerpt shows up in my email box:
Hello
Am mary ,
i saw your profile today and became interested in you, i will like to know you the more, and i want you to send an email to my mail so that i can give you my picture for you to know whom i am. Here is my email address (maryjobe) I believe we can move from here. I am waiting for your reply in my mail don’t send it in the site.

I am pretty certain the Contact button sends the message to @augustlan. So if she isn’t here, we might not see it. So, by all means message one of us directly. Auggie will be able to confirm about the contact button.

A general contact the mods button would be good since we are all here at different times, but as has been said, that sort of change is not likely to happen. We always love hearing from you anyway and especially pointing out spammers we can zap and feed to Neptune.

@anartist PM me that email addresss, I;ve always been tempted to use my spam email and reply for the heck of it and see what happens XD

Flags go to the entire mod team.

We would totally forgive you for using the flag system to report PM spam. :D

Next time it happens please flag something and explain in the text box that you are not addressing the question or quip flagged, but that there is a creeper haunting your PMs.

Oh and be sure to give us the user name of the creeper.

I just use the Contact button.

The contact button only goes to me, Ben and Andrew. I’ve always wanted a “contact a mod” button, that would send a message to all of us, and/or a way to flag profiles, but it’s not likely to happen any time soon. I think @Dog‘s idea is a good one, though. Flag anything, and just write us a note. That will do the trick!
