Why are the Nike Galaxy Foamposite sneakers so popular?

I’ve never heard of them, sooo, they must be popular within a certain demographic.

From what I have read, there was a limited-edition release of a glow-in-the-dark version of the sneakers a few days ago. They sold for $220, but the demand is/was so high that this happened. All of the shoes are probably sold out, and people are reselling the ones that they bought for the highest price they can in order to make money.

OMG $220 for a sneaker, don’t these people know that Nike only limits thes so people go crazy over them. Theres nothing special about the sneaker except its limited quantity which is obsurd. I was still trying to figure out the jordan popularity and now this. I could see people reacting this way if we ran out of food or something but for a sneaker still can’t believe it.

Marketing.

Part of the reason that so many people are after it is that they know that they can resell it for a much higher price, the $1,000+ you described.

Basically – and this can be said about so many things – some people just have more money than sense. That’s all.
