Apple's iWeb is discontinued: should I use it anyway?

Asked by anam (147points) March 13th, 2012

I am trying to figure out how to create a website and just this morning I remembered iWeb, but it has been discontinued last year. Should I still use it, or should I move on to a similar application, and which one? Thanks in advance!

If you are familiar with iWeb, use it, the program still works great. You simply have to publish the content from another company. I believe dreamhost.com works great with iWeb. My fiancĂ© used machighway.com with no problems except it didn’t like a password protected page on Safari. All other browsers worked great.

Your software will still work the same. Apple simply discontinued the iWeb hosting service. You can export your sites as HTML folders and upload them to another hosting service.
