How can I recover data from a dead laptop with a working hard-drive?

Any accessory I can buy to connect the hard-drive to my new laptop?

External USB enclosures exist. Laptop drives use different ones from desktop drives (different size, and often a different connector) but yes, they do exist.

Yep agree with jerv. You remove the hard drive from your computer and put it in the enclosure jerv mentioned and voila you have an external hard drive that you can connect via usb or firewire to a new computer.
