What's the lowest payment plan for an iPhone?

Asked by partyrock (3870points) March 23rd, 2012

I have an iPhone and the service is from Verizon, how much would it cost a month to have the phone? Is there an “Unlimited” amount, or do they base it on something like “2,000 text messages a month” etc…. What would be the lowest payment plan?

Just asking for anyone who has or had the iPhone.

Here are the data plan options for the iPhone.

Verizon’s lowest plan costs $69.99 a month. Includes 2GB data, 450 minutes calls, pay-per-text (.20 cents per text, .25 for MMS)

You aren’t getting anything for under $70/month on any carrier methinks.

AT&T’s cheapest would be at $70 and includes 450 minutes, 5000 Nights/weekends (w/Rollover), and 3GB of data. No texting included.

Wow, I’m getting a deal on my iPhone. I pay $55 a month for 500MB of data, I can register 10 people for free calling. I’m not sure how much I pay per text. But I’m in Canada.

Those data plans are so ridiculous, that’s the only reason why I don’t own a smart phone. You’re better off calling your phone carrier to find out for sure.

@AshlynM I’m right there with you! Sure, I’d love an iPhone, but the best cheapest plan I can find is $70! I’m very pleased with my provider, I’m with Metro and only pay $25 because I’m on a family package but I also get unlimited text, talk and web!

@partyrock Don’t let the cellphone providers trick you into lower data plans, because if you run out of data, they’ll get you for all your money! If you take time to look at phones at stores, I’m sure you’ll find a great alternative. Best of luck. :-)
