NSFW(maybe)- Is prostitution pretty much legal now?

I read an article yesterday about a website people had started to use for prostitution services after Craigslist blocked those ads from their own service.

Out of curiosity, I went on to see what they were talking about, and clicked on my state. There were approximately 40 ads posted in one day. I do not live in a big state.

I could click on any one of them and see clear pictures of the women, rates, and instructions for contact. Some had reviews.

Are the cops in my state incompetent, or do people really not care anymore?
