Anyone got any suggestions on something different to do on Roatan?

Not really looking to lie on the beach or snorkel. I am willing to consider almost any other possibilities.

Hiking and possibly zip lining are two things I’d look into if I were going.

Vacation is one of the few times I get to just wake up and not have a plan. Go outside and look around, usually there’s something you want to know more about, do it.

If inspiration doesn’t strike then I generally figure it’s time for an adult beverage. Repeat as needed.

If you enjoy adult beverages, maybe it will work for you as well.

” Carambola gardens in Sandy Bay
At the Carambola Botanical Gardens and nature trails you’ll find a protected iguana and parrot breeding cliff, as well as some archaeological sites dating back to Mayan times. Be sure to ask for a guide as this will make your experience here a lot more informative as the plants are not well marked. ” Source

@CaptainHarley You are most welcome. And, as an aside Honduras is a small country of about 112000 sq km located in Central America. It was formerly known as Spanish Honduras and, Honduras was originally neutral during World War II but after the bombing of pearl harbor they joined the side of the allies. They declared war on Japan on December 8th, 1941 and on Germany and Italy on December 13th, 1941. Honduras never sent troops to aid in the war effort but were contributors of raw materials and other supplies to the allies.

@marinelife , @funkdaddy , @SpatzieLover Thanks for the suggestions. Still not sure what route we are going to take but leaning toward a kayak tour of some of the mangrove swamps and, if we have time, the marine science institute.
@CaptainHarley good to hear from you, hope I didn’t offend with the smartassidness.
