Your have a one-time opportunity to use a machine with a numbered dial which, when turned, ads that number to both your IQ and your weight. What do you do?

Only if I can lose the weight I gained at a later time, but not the IQ points.
Always a stipulation isn’t there?

You could turn it 300 points to the right and then immediately invent an easy cure for obesity.

Wow—this is a frightening question for me. I’ll take the coward’s way out—I’ll dial back 150 and call it suicide. I’ll never know what hit me.

Seriously, I’d dial forward 10 points (which likely has a modest but greatly appreciated boost in intelligence) and deal with the consequences of the weight gain.

I wouldn’t turn it.

I wouldn’t turn it either.

Hello high school weight.

Is weight added as fat or muscle? If the latter, I’ll add 20, if the former I’ll add zero.

Id starve myself for a while then turn it up the number of lbs I dropped starving myself….. Then id exercise a whole lot while simultaneously using my higher intelligence to make loads of money so I can afford plastic surgery to fix whatever is left to fix. :)

I’d dial it back 20–30 points. I could likely survive being a little dumber and could really lose the weight loss.

+20. I need the extra IQ and I’m slim enough that an extra 20 pounds wouldn’t be by any means disastrous.
