My daughter kept a pair of AD frogs with her Beta fish in a 2–3 gallon tank. They did fine, but I think it’s best to keep them separate if possible. The Beta would get agitated at times and eventually she put the frogs in their own tank. They like places to hide too and shed their skins and eat them often. :-)

I have African Dwarf frogs. For the first couple years, I kept them in separate tanks because it was hard to feed them (without the fish eating up all the frozen blood worms before the lazy frogs could get to them). They can actually starve to death because of this. Now, since I have one fish left, they are in the same tank. However, I literally place the frog food under their rock so the fish can not get it (by dipping my hand/arm into the tank). The rock is a slate/flat type that I have leaned up against the glass wall in the back – sort of their little house.

It depends how many frogs you have and how big your tank is as well. Frogs change the composition of the tank water and it can become unsuitable for many types of fish. The fish I have had for about 5 years (in the same tank with the frog now) is a Tetra and it’s been fine so far. They’ve been together for about 1 and half years now.

I’ve read that Betas are good tank mates though.

Bettas are best but if possible I’d make it a species tank and keep only the frogs

how you gonna start with the idea of doin saltwater and settle on dwarf frogs? Go big or go home :p

Haha. I’m still considering the Biocube (29 gallon). :)
