What kind of fun did you have with your kids?

Asked by wundayatta (58722points) May 2nd, 2012

Tonight my son asked me to improvise with him on the piano. Wow! He gets it! We were doing some far out things. But he was right there with the rhythm and harmony and he was listening and we were trading the lead, and it was awesome!

Eight years of lessons and sitting there helping him practice. At last we get to see some of the pay-off for all that work he’s been doing!

I taught my little girl leap frog today. But she’s so small, it’s “leap onto mama’s back then land on the back of her head” it’s fun though.

I loved watching them play.

We travel a lot and bring the kids with us. The kids also enjoy biking with me.

Yep! All the waiting finally does pay off. My baby son has just turned seven months and he’s started rocking back and forth on his knees. It’s the coolest thing ever lol :)

We have a lot of fun just talking and laughing, signing at the top of our lungs in the car, cuddling on the couch, and on rare occasions, tickle fight!

I was walking my daughter to school one day when she challenged me to a race. She thought she would win. It was close but I did manage to beat her. I don’t think I could do it again.

I don’t have or want kids. But I was usually around my sisters son. I tuaght the little guy how to skateboard. And of course he is better then I ever was. But I guess that is the goal.

@augustlan I love the image of your and your kids signing at the top of your lungs. I can totally picture it! Thank you for that typo! I want to see this so badly I would drive there today if you could guarantee me the opportunity! Ah well. Maybe the orange tree will provide. You can see anything there.

I taught my three year old to count to 1, both backwards and forwards. So, when she and I meet friends I show her off “Go ahead, count to one.” “ONE”. “OK, now do it backwards.” “ONE”. “That’s excellent.”

@Charles The pressure! The pressure!

I’ve spent years sharpening my children’s wit. We can have a great time shooting quips back and forth until everyone is crying with laughter.

My husband and I taught out friends’ three year old some of our favorite lines from Monty Python, including saying “ni!” (this was several years ago,
and JOKINGLY they wouldn’t talk to us for a few days!)

@wundayatta Ack! Can’t believe I made that typo. The good news is, we can sign a bit. I did have fun teaching them the ASL alphabet, but not at the top of my lungs. :D

But @augustlan, don’t you think it is the most delicious typo? As typos go, you found one that is a great image—better than what you were trying to say, even!

@augustlan You know we all enjoy signing at the top of our lungs!

It is a great image!

@laineybug For you.
