Is anyone else craving cake right now?

I had some rum and raisin chocolate. Cake would have been nice though. Orangey chocolate cake.

I wasn’t, but I’m starting to. There’s a small iced lemon-with bits of berry in it cake in my fridge right now. I was going to freeze the rest of it. Hmmmn.

Nah, cake doesn’t quite agree with me.
But I can sure go for some freshly baked cookies or an almond Hershey’s bar!

I was this afternoon so I bought some of my favourite cakes from my local supermarket. Little fairy cakes with thick strawberry icing :)

You know what’s the best cake? Ok, best two cakes. One is homemade sour cream coffee cake with streusel topping.

Two is homemade banana cake with real whip cream and strawberries. Stick that baby in the refrigerator so it gets nice and cold, and the strawberries’ juice soaks into the cake.

I think I may be. I took one out of the oven a ½ hour go waiting for it to cool some so Mum can frost it.

@jca – I was 100% with you in your first response but not with your second. My favorite is yellow cake with chocolate icing. And the strange part is that aussies don’t know what I mean by yellow cake, they think it is a sponge cake. They don’t have yellow cakes here. I am going to have to make one from scratch someday!

@rooeytoo: Make one and invite your friends for a tea party, and show them what yellow cake is all about!

It might be worth letting them know you aren’t going to be feeding them this. Given Australia has the world’s largest reserves of yellowcake.
