Is it possible to change one's name on Fluther?

If I remember correctly, if you are a relatively new member or have a compelling reason, you can ask the site manager (augustlan) for a name change. Just use the “contact” button.

And of course, staring over with a new account is also an option.

What @syz said is correct. You can speak with Augustlan about changing your name. You can either use the contact button up at the top or send her a PM through her profile.

I was able to change mine. Just PM Augie with your reason.

I’m pretty sure every used is allowed one name change, without any reason required as to why. However, if you want to change your name after that, you do need a good reason. (not entirely sure what validates a legitimate reason)
So basically you get one free name change.

Yep, we’ll change it one time for anyone. All we ask is that you make a note on your profile page, saying who you used to be. Just for a little while, until jellies get used to your new name. After the first time, you have to have a very compelling reason to change it. Just PM me the name you’d like to use, and I’ll take care of it for you. :)

I have changed under the cover of darkness, and found Augustian charming, helpful and very nice! I vote her for President of whatever she would like to be President of!
