How to turn on / de-brick a ZTE Blade phone?

Asked by nailpolishfanatic (6637points) May 28th, 2012

Recently (mostly today) I have been experiencing quite a lot of “this app has suddenly stopped working” and so on all of them I pressed “force close” suddenly when I was going into my Gmail app and the same thing about the application stopping to work happened so I forced close. And my phone just switch itself off. Now it’s just blinking the ADROID sign after then green android sign. It’s all that’s happening and it doesn’t go any further.

For the past 2 hours I have been removing the battery and putting in back in, connecting the Usb on and off. The phone turns on and all that but suddenly freezes and the ADROID word is the only thing blinking on the screen.

Do you have any tips of how I could reset this problem other than taking it back where I bought it.

And also I just recently bought the phone… I would say that I have had it for about 2 months or so.

Power on while holding the volume-down button. (i.e hold the volume down button and hit the power button)

it will go into an internal menu. use the vol up/down button to click to RECOVERY.

push the power button for a second to start the recovery process.

Wait five minutes while it works

reboot

@elbanditoroso Thank you for your suggestion. I tried that last night but it didnt work. What I did was let the phone to be on all night till the battery was finished… this morning when I woke up I started to charge it and it switched on like nothing ever happened yesterday. Thanks for your tip because I can try it next time it happens again :)

A lot of devices treat prolonged pressure on the power switch as a hard reboot. Might try that next time.
