Who thought of the word colour?

who said red is red and black is black so forth….and why?

Its derived from the Latin word “color”. I don’t know how to find the etymology of the Latin word.

As this article points out the words for colors have different meanings to different cultures and at different times in history.

One thing to keep in mind is that we have no way of knowing if what you call red is the same thing I call red. What if the colors vary through our eyes like they do on computer screens?

yes. im color blind in 1 eye and when i see blue with 1 eye the other see’s at as we call purple.

The real question is who decided to name the fruit “orange”, orange.

its just such a wondering thought, ya know whats scary is AIR you cant see it you cant smell it only Feel it!! aaaaah
