Podcast Manager for Mac?

Recently I have been getting into audio podcasts. They are great for listening to in the background while browsing or gaming, but I hate having iTunes open all the time.

Currently I’ve been using Podcast Player Pro (http://www.podcastplayerpro.com/chrome/app.html) and it is pretty good but is very buggy.

So, I am looking for an app that can help me manage AND listen to my podcasts with bonus points for syncing with android. Thank you all.

P.S. I welcome all suggestions on podcasts to subscribe to.
