When does Apple's student year start/end?

To clarify Apple offer a certain amount of purchases at the student discount each year. I have used all of this years quota and was wondering how long I have to wait till I can buy another one.

From Apple UK site: “Staff, students and parents purchasing from the Apple Store for Education Individuals will be allowed to purchase the following quantities of product per academic school year” That means from when one school year starts to when it ends so if I know my Northern Hemisphere, you don’t have long to wait…
