How can I edit a video I have loaded on my computer?

Windows Movie Maker, which comes installed on Windows machines, would work for this purpose. Open up the clip in WMM, look at the “timeline” window that should be at the bottom of your screen. You’ll want to click and drag the end of the clip towards the left until the video ends when you want it to.

Of all the tools available, most either cost money and/or are cannot do that, at least not in any simple manner. So I second WMM.
