Why are videos not playing properly?

Asked by noodle_poodle (1614points) June 16th, 2012

I have just restored my Sumsung r530 laptop from my restore disk. Most software seems to be working fine, but, for some reason when I try to watch the videos on Lynda.com the top half of the window is all green and wrong. I have tired uninstalling and re installing my adobe and flash players but its still doing the same thing in both Mozilla and chrome. I know that it isn’t the videos because I have taken the course before and go back to them now and again when I forget things. Please help as I am baffled.

Try disabling the hardware acceleration, by unchecking it? Right click on video – settings – enable hardware acceleration.

@Kantieta ah…I hadn’t thought of that. I will give it a try!

@noodle_poodle: : ) If that doesn’t work, let me know and I’ll poke about for other work-arounds.
