Have you ever had a guest steal from you?

My friend once had an open house for our club, and later discovered someone had stolen a cute kitchen poster off the wall.

Not property but money yes. My son had a friend whose mum was a single parent. She made a bad mistake and packed up and moved to another city. A few weeks later after that didn’t work out (I think she was just running away), she came back and had nowhere to live. We took them in, rented a caravan on the agreement that she would pay us back for the cost. We put it in our backyard and let her and her family have access to our house to use the kitchen, bathroom etc. She packed up after a few months, left while we were at work, and didn’t ever pay us. We didn’t push for the money because we figured she was broke but it would have been nice to have a thank you.

When I was a kid, I had a friend come over to play after school. My folks were working (I was a latch key kid).

Later, as he was leaving, I saw a glint of something shiny in his bag and asked about it. After much verbal fumbling, he admitted it was my mother’s necklace – taken from her bedroom.

Some friend.

Yes; my stepson at college age stole $75 from my husband’s wallet. Eight years later he’s married, a teacher and husband with 3 fine sons. I think it was to pay for marijuana he got on loan? He was smoking at that time. He receives rewards for his teaching abilities with ninth grade students and has gotten his Master’s degree.

No, but..I caught a guy I was dating some years ago snooping on my computer. Big mistake, I don’t do snoops. Caught him in the act and, obviously he could not deny it. Goodbye Charlie. lol

Not since my teen years when an overnight school friend stole a gold chain of mine.

@Coloma: Wow. Did the guy offer any explanation for his behavior? What did he say when you busted him?

Coloma's avatar

@jca He just looked sheepish and stammered out some feeble excuse of doing something and “accidentally” accessing my browsing history and other things. Uh huh…it was only obvious he was snooping. I hate snoopy people, stay out of my stuff. lol
