Would you please participate in an experiment for me?

Asked by Dutchess_III (46811points) July 10th, 2012

It involves physical details seen during a panic. Trust me. I am your friend. :)

Please watch this video and tell me what you see at the end.

If you have seen it before, please watch it again and tell us what you see. Don’t tell us what you remember seeing the first time. Please tell us what your perceptions are THIS time.

If this is the first time you’ve seen it, please tell us, in absolute detail, exactly what you see at the end.

It won’t hurt, I promise!

I’ve sent my response in a PM.

First time seeing it. It looks like a snake that is striking out at the camera, and then the camera person dropping the camera.

I saw myself jumping.

First time it made me jump. It looks like the snake strikes out at you.
Reviewing it a second time I’m not sure the snake actually moves at all. All I see is the video cutting away like the camera is dropped. Bit I’m not even sure the camera was dropped.

More likely, the snake did make a move but maybe not as fast as the shot implied. The quick camera reaction took my eyes’ attention from there. If the video was not tampered I’ll bet that is what happened. I think big snakes like this do not attack with such cobra fast strikes. Unless it’s a Hollywood anaconda.

Ok, after watching it for the sixth time, I don’t think the snake moved at all! Lol.

The snake lashed out and bit the camera I guess, but it was really fast and blurry and I couldn’t catch any detail at all. Needless to say, my reflexes are down in the dumpster, so if that was me filming it, I’d be dead right now haha.

The snake lashed its head towards the camera, between 30 and 40 cm, probably. The whole thing takes place in 4 frames.

Well, the first time I saw it, I saw snake jaws WIDE OPEN along with fangs coming at me. Seeing it the second time, knowing what to expect, it was just a blur, with no detail. No snake detail at all. I wanted to send it to a friend who had scared the crap out of me (not purposefully) earlier in the day and I went looking for a monster video…that jump out at you. That was the only one that work would let me access it…so I watched it for the second time…and said, “Meh. That’s just a blob.” But it was all I had, so I sent it.

Well, then she sent an email that said, “I hate you!!!!” Rather like the one @flutherother PM’d me! and I knew it was successful! Heh! That got me to thinking…what did I see the first time that scared the S*** out of me, but left me “bleh” the second time. Enter, Ya’ll.

Thank you all for your participation and the spaceship will pick you up soon for further experiments. :)

First time watching it.

I see a snake, you see it’s head and then the snake moves up a bit and then moves towards the camera, I see a shot of the sky, then a shot of the floor with some stones and plants.

First time watching it and I saw the snake lash at the camera and the camera then being moved or droppe and I remember seeing a tree in the background.

Eeeeee…..I’ve already had a rattlesnake bite to my cat last week….I see the snake striking, at least it looks that way to me, but, I can’t do a retake, eeeee!

I see credits rolled on a red background and that the video was made by Dogg3dogG.
