I know that most of the money comes from tuition, but what are the other sources?

I think public automatically means taxpayer. Tuition only covers a small amount.

State funding, tuition and joint research partnerships with the private sector.

When it is 100% taxpayer it is called Public. If let’s say 65% of the money comes from tuition, and 20% from private and 15% from taxpayer, what is the name for it?

They are state institutions and get state funding in addition to endowments and tuition/fees.
