Is there any way to block a Bluetooth device on my Mac?

Asked by bluemukaki (4332points) May 31st, 2008

I’m using DawiinRemote and a GameBoy emulator to play ROMs with my Wiimote, but whenever I try to connect my Wiimote, Mac OS X’s Bluetooth manager connects to the Wiimote before the app can, so it wont work. I had it working yesterday, but now all of a sudden it is connecting to the Mac OS X Bluetooth manager and not the App. What I was thinking of doing was blocking the device from connecting to the Bluetooth manager, but I can’t find any way of doing that.

I usually have my bluetooth just shut off. It helps, and saves battery power.

Same, but I can’t do that though because the Bluetooth needs to be on to connect the Wiimote to the other app… also, is anyone else’s Bluetooth preferences pane really slow in Leopard?

What if you just moved the .prefpane file onto your desktop or something..?
