Why should you put your head between your knees if you are freaking out?

makes the blood rush to your head, providing more oxygen, helping you to calm down and think more clearly.

If you are scared you would probably do it because you can’t take the pressure/stress/situation/thrill and you need to find a way to hide from it all.

So that if things go really bad it’s easier to kiss your ass goodbye.

Grrr….AstroChuck beat me to it! (I’m still waiting for the day an air-host/ess decides to risk it and say it in the safety demonstration) But on a more serious note, I think PnL nailed it.

It gives you something to do and gets you out of the way so that those of us who are not freaking out can think of what to do.
