Can I emigrate to Australia with no formal work related education?

Asked by martind123 (2points) July 18th, 2012

My family and I have toyed with the idea of moving to Australia for some time now. We feel that we are now ready to take the plunge!! I am a skilled CNC Machinist with 12 years experience but have no formal qualifications as was trained in house Is this a problem? Will I not be classed as a skilled person?

My partner is an Employment and Learning Advisor with a Foundation Degree in Learning Support and has a background in both primary and secondary education.

How do we go about migrating to Oz? All advice welcome.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.
