What are your favorite then and now boogie-down songs?

So we all know our tastes change as we get older. That saying goes for the food we eat, the clothes we wear, and even the music we listen to. I know I’m only 23 and haven’t been exposed to everything, but I grew up listening to my parents’ music from the 60’s and 70’s and then everything that started coming out in the 90’s and a little bit of what played on the radio that came out in the 80’s.

Now that I’m an adult, I’m more in-tune with the music my parents listen to. When I got into my adolescence, I started rebelling against their music because what they thought was cool was so uncool to me. By my junior year in high school, I started listening to more of their music and developed my own taste in music that was actually quite similar to theirs. I searched for music that resembled music from the 60’s and 70’s but had a different flare to it.

So when I was rebelling against my parents music, I would listen to more pop, rap, and more recently, metal. Now I listen to a lot of adult alternative as well as a lot of 60’s rock. What I want to know is, what are YOU guys listening to? My favorite artists are Coldplay, Lana Del Ray, Awolnation, Silversun Pickups, Black Keys, Bon Iver, Fiona Apple… etc.
