Ever seen a white spider?

Last night there was a white spider crawling on my wall. I’ve never seen any completely white spiders before, so that was kind of odd. I think baby spiders are white when they pop out of their eggs, but this wasn’t a baby. It looked like a regular house spider, maybe a tad smaller, but it was all white. I wanted to take a picture of it with my cell but it was way too fast, and disappeared out of view.
So what I’m wondering, what is this white spider? Tried to look it up online, but they keep coming up with results for the white tail spider, which isn’t my spider. The closest I found to an answer is that it’s a type of house spider…which I kind of figured already. :/ But I’d like more information on this kind.
Does anyone know what kind this was? Was it some kind of vampire spider or something? How come it was all white?
